Celebrating 31 years, the Battle Creek Field of Flight Airshow & Balloon Festival is of one of the staple events for all of Michigan. The airshow has grown to become one of the largest and greatest air shows in the United States Midwest.
Held every summer since 1980’s, the Field of Flight (formerly Team U.S. Nationals & Airshow) is held at the W. K. Kellogg Regional Airport, home to the
Western Michigan University College of Aviation,
Duncan Aviation – the nation’s largest family-owned aircraft refurbishing company, and
WACO Classic Aircraft Corporation.
In addition to the high-flying excitement the World-Class Airshow, numerous other activities go on around the event grounds, making sure that the Field of Flight is a true “Entertainment Festival”. Other activities include Concerts, Funland Amusement Park, and several food and souvenir vendors and of course, the Annual Balloon Festival.
This Airshow has in it’s history the honour of hosting such teams The US Air Forces Thunderbirds, the Canadian Air Forces Snowbirds, the Italian team Freece Tri Colore and returning this year, the Navy Blue Angels. This is one airshow that will continue to grow in the future, due in large part from great support of the community and the hard work done by the volunteers.
